How to List a Resource
Listing your organisation or program is simple. The process ensures that all resources on the platform are relevant, accurate, and high quality.
1. Create an Account
Register your organisation by providing basic details, including your Organisation Name, ABN, and Organisation Type.
2. Complete Self Assessment
Complete self assessment before submitting your resource.
3. Submit your Listing
Add your resource information — title, description, images, and contact details.
4. Review & Approval
Our team reviews your submission to confirm it meets our listing resource standards.
5. Invoice & Payment
Once your listing is approved, you’ll receive an email with a secure link to view and pay your invoice online, or you can choose to pay via bank transfer.
6. Your Listing is Live
As soon as payment is received, your resource is published and becomes visible to educators nationwide.
Organisation Types and Pricing
Listing fees are based on your organisation type. This ensures pricing is fair and reflects the scale and purpose of your work.

| Commercial / Private | Private businesses or commercial education providers offering incursions, workshops, or paid programs. | $295per listing +GST |
All listings are reviewed before publication to ensure standards are met. Fees apply per approved resource and are payable upon approval. Invoices can be paid online (credit card) or via direct bank transfer.

Every submission is checked by our team to ensure it meets quality and relevance standards. Listings should:
- Relate directly to learning or education.
- Be accurate, up to date, and safe for school environments.
- Include appropriate contact and support details.
We aim to review all listings within 7-10 business days of submission.

What Is Active Central?

Who Can List A Resource or Service?
Any organisation that provides an educational program, workshop, incursion, or learning resource for Australian schools or communities can list. This includes government departments, councils, non-profits, charities, and private education providers.
How do I create a listing?
Simply register for an account, submit your listing details (including a description, images, and contact info), and our team will review it. Once approved, you’ll receive an invoice with payment details. After payment, your listing will be published on the directory.
How Long Does It Take For My Listing To Be Reviewed?
Listings are usually reviewed within 7-10 business days in accordance with our Quality Standards Framework (link to Assessment and Approval Outcome page). You’ll receive an email notification of the outcome, and if approved your invoice will be generated.
How is pricing determined?
Listing fees depend on your organisation type.
We offer fair pricing for:
- Government / Council organisations
- Non-profit / Charity organisations
- Commercial / Private providers
You’ll select your organisation type when registering, and the correct fee will be applied automatically.
How do I pay for my listing?
Once your listing is approved, you’ll receive an email with your invoice.
You can pay securely online by credit card (via Stripe) or by bank transfer.
If paying by bank transfer, please include your invoice number in the payment reference.
What happens after I pay?
After payment is confirmed, your listing is automatically published. You’ll receive a confirmation email once your resource is live on the directory.
How long does my listing stay active?
Listings remain active for 24 months from the date of publication, unless otherwise stated. You’ll receive a reminder email before your listing is due for renewal.
Can I update my listing after it’s published?
Yes. You can log in to your account at any time to update your listing details, contact information, or images. Updates will require internal review before being republished to ensure quality and accuracy.
What If My Listing Is Not Approved or Provisional?
If a listing doesn’t meet the directory guidelines, our team will contact you with feedback or recommendations for resubmission. We aim to help all providers meet the listing criteria where possible. View the QSF Assessment page for more information.
Are There Any Restrictions On Listings?
Listings must:
- Relate directly to education or student learning.
- Be appropriate for school-aged audiences.
- Include clear, accurate, and up-to-date information.
We do not accept listings that are promotional only or unrelated to education. - Terms & Conditions
